Rust Repair and Welding in Manchester

Rust comes back if it is filled over. We cut the rotten metal out, weld new steel in, seal it and paint it, so the repair lasts and passes an MOT.

New rear arch shaped in metal on a classic, not filler

Bring it to us when

  • Bubbling paint on a wheel arch or sill
  • A hole you can see through, or an MOT failure for corrosion
  • Rust around a windscreen, a boot floor or a door bottom
  • An older car you want to keep on the road

What we do

  • Rotten metal cut back to clean steel
  • Repair sections or hand shaped panels welded in
  • Seam sealed, primed and painted to match
  • Underseal and cavity wax where it will stop it coming back

Getting a price

  3. A price the same day, 9am to 8pm. Then pick a day to drop it off.

Common questions

Rust repair and welding, answered

Can you weld for an MOT?
Yes. Welded repairs on structural areas like sills and chassis legs are done to pass, and our sister garage MCR Fast Fix next door does the MOT itself.
Why not just fill it?
Because the rust keeps going underneath and the filler cracks within a year. Cutting it out and welding costs more today and a lot less over the life of the car.
Can you price welding from photos?
Roughly. Rust is often worse underneath than it looks, so we will give you a starting price from your photos and confirm it once the paint is off.
