Window tinting, answered
- What tint is legal in the UK?
- The front side windows must let at least 70% of light through and the windscreen 75%, so we do not tint those dark. There is no limit on the rear side windows or the back screen, and that is where most people want it.
- How long does it take?
- Normally half a day. Leave the windows up for a couple of days afterwards so the film cures.
- Will it bubble?
- Not if it is fitted properly on clean glass. Cheap film and dusty fitting are what cause bubbles, which is why we do it in the booth.
